Who we are

caicreations.com is operated by CAI LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company that trades as CAI. In this policy, “CAI”, “we” and “us” mean CAI LLC.

Information you choose to give us

When you email us

If you write to any caicreations.com address, we receive what you send: your email address, your name if you include it, your message and any attachments, plus the ordinary details every email carries, such as the date and the sending mail service.

The enquiry form on the home page

The “Start a project” form checks your answers in your browser. When you press send, it does not transmit anything to CAI. Instead it opens your own email app with a message already addressed to contact@caicreations.com, which you can read, change and send yourself. If your device has no email app set up, a copy button places the same text on your device’s clipboard so you can paste it into any email. Nothing you type into the form is stored by the website, and nothing reaches CAI unless you send the email.

If you work with us

If you later hire CAI, you may share further information during the project, such as business details, content for your website and access you choose to give us. The proposal or agreement for that work may include further terms about that information.

Information processed when you visit

The site is a set of static pages hosted by Netlify. As with any website, when your browser asks for a page, the hosting servers receive standard technical information needed to deliver it: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser and device type (the “user agent”) and, where your browser sends it, the page that linked you. Netlify may record this information in server logs to run, secure and troubleshoot its service, under its own privacy terms.

CAI has not added analytics or any visitor-tracking tool to the site, and we do not use request information to identify or profile individual visitors.

The domain’s DNS (the system that points browsers to the site) is provided by Cloudflare. The site’s pages, fonts, images, videos and code are all served from caicreations.com itself: the site does not load fonts, scripts, embeds or social media widgets from other companies’ servers.

Cookies, storage and tracking

The site does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session recording or device fingerprinting. When we checked on the effective date above, pages served from caicreations.com did not set any cookies. Because there is nothing optional to switch on or off, the site does not show a cookie banner.

One of the concept demos uses your browser’s own storage. The Rookwork demo remembers the ring you design (metal, cut, stone and band) in your browser’s local storage, so that its consultation page can fill in your choice. That information stays on your device, is not sent to CAI, and can be removed at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

The site does not change how it behaves in response to browser privacy signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, because it does not track visitors or show targeted advertising, which is what those signals are designed to limit.

The concept demos

The pages under caicreations.com/demos/ are working demonstration websites for fictional businesses, built by CAI to show its work. Their contact and consultation forms check your answers in your browser and then stop: nothing you enter is sent to CAI or anyone else, and nothing is stored, apart from the Rookwork ring choice described above. Please do not use them to contact a business: the businesses do not exist. This policy covers the demos in the same way as the rest of the site.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• read and reply to your enquiries and messages;
• discuss, quote for and carry out work you ask us about;
• support customers of our website care plans;
• send invoices and keep business, accounting and tax records;
• operate, secure and fix the website; and
• meet legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of companies to run the website and our email:

• Netlify hosts and delivers the website.
• Cloudflare provides the domain’s DNS.
• Google Workspace provides email for caicreations.com addresses.

These providers process information as needed to provide their services, under their own terms and privacy policies. If we start using a provider that handles personal information in a materially different way, we will update this policy.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-site advertising. We disclose personal information only:

• to the service providers listed above, to run the website and our email;
• when you ask us to, or agree to it;
• when the law requires it, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect rights, property or safety; and
• as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the information transferred.

How long information is kept

We keep correspondence and related records for as long as they are reasonably needed for the purposes above: while we are in contact or working together, and afterwards where needed for business records, tax and legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. How long that is depends on what the information is and why we have it. Technical request information held by our hosting provider is kept under that provider’s own practices.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information. The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and because it is a static site with no database, accounts or form backend, it does not hold a store of visitor submissions. Email is handled by our email provider’s systems. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your requests and choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you from your correspondence with us, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing contact@caicreations.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we may keep information where the law requires it or where it is needed for legitimate business records, such as invoices.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. If you contact us about them, we will respond as the law that applies to us requires.

Links to other services

Email links on this site open your own email app or service, which handles your message under its provider’s terms. If the site links to another website or service, that site’s own privacy practices apply, not this policy.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the way the site or CAI handles information changes. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be noted on this page.
